Green Tea is a Folk Remedy for Acne

Green tea is in the special honor among connoisseurs and tea lovers, because it is not fermented tea. It means green tea keeps a fair amount of vitamins and minerals.

Many well-known cosmetic companies make creams, lotions and tonics based on green tea. These cosmetics have the great success. After all, these cosmetic means help to get rid of acne, pimples and redness on the face, but also rejuvenate the skin.

Chinese and Japanese women use tea recipes to maintain their extraordinary beauty for several millennia. And the problem of acne is very rare for them. Also Indian scientists came to the conclusion that green tea is the perfect folk remedy for acne.

The most popular treatment for acne, which is well-known, is benzoyl peroxide. Awesome name, isn’t it? But this tool helps to solve the problem of acne. Can the folk remedy against acne, as green tea, be an alternative to modern cosmetological means?

The famous Dr. Jennifer Gan-Wong decided to conduct a study and to compare the effects of benzoyl peroxide and green tea based means. She gathered a group of people suffering from acne, and suggested green tea cream to one group and benzoyl peroxide solution to another group.

The result of that experiment exceeded all expectations. It turned out that green tea had the same effect as benzoyl peroxide, but it acted softer and did not dry skin. Many people, who used benzoyl peroxide, had allergic reactions, itch and redness on the skin. But those who used the green tea cream had no problem with the skin.

Well, green tea eliminates all bacteria causing pimples on the skin, reduces redness, inflammation and irritation on the face, soothes and strengthens the skin.
